Andrew Hunt is a highly experienced banker and fund-raiser. For the last 18 years he has been involved in acting as Loan Adviser to a UK mezzanine fund, which provided funding to 19 small and medium-sized privately-owned companies (SMEs), and consulting on fund-raising and strategy to a range of commercial and financial service companies. Particular focus has been on UK SMEs, sourcing equity from venture capital, private equity and high net worth investors.
Andrew has worked recently on a range of assignments, examples of which include: consulting for Chubb Insurance of the USA on its European alternative assets investment strategy; raising institutional capital for Bestport LP Fund; raising equity for Lightex Limited for the development of a new fabric technology; and consulting on funding strategy for Johnson Security Limited, a niche automotive manufacturer.
After initial training at Chase Manhattan Bank in London, Andrew spent nearly 20 years at Bankers Trust Company. He gained wide experience of international banking in government, financial services, corporate, loan syndication and project sectors, working from London, New York and Paris. Senior management responsibilities included heading the UK Corporate Banking Division, the South Europe Government and Institutional Division, and General Manager of the London Branch.
